Old Hollywood Glamour was the theme for the wedding of Pamela & Niall, I had great fun doing their wedding photos in the The Abbey Church Fethard and Hotel Kilkenny. I loved Pamela’s creative eye and attention to detail which shone through her wedding.

I loved using my new portable Studio lights run off battery, it brought out all the stunning detail in her dress that a flash on camera wouldn’t. Her dress was  Pronovios “Fiona” in Jeutonic Bridal Kilkenny and Pamela “to make the dress my own I asked the shop to stitch on some beads onto the shoulder”

She wore and Ostrich feather wrap which for a winter wedding is both glamorous and warm.

The Brides Wedding Flowers were by Dot and Catherine Whelan – Sunflowers, Thurles Shopping Centre. “I wanted to keep things quite simple again with bouquets, Flower girl had a basket. Candelabra’s in the church, rose trees at entrance of church”

Pamela’s hair was done by well known Bridal mobile hairdresser Marie Hickey www.bridalhairbymarie.com her Hollywood styled makeup was by Yvonne Maher www.yvonnemaher.com

The furniture in Hotel Kilkenny lent itself to the wedding images. Brides love their shoes and Pamelas peep toe bridal shoes were from Pure & Precious

The Groom Niall and his brother Shane are well known for their love of horses.

Maid of Honour Dress – (Again to make the dress different I got them to remove the band that was under the bust and got them to stitch on a Pornovias head piece to add some sparkle & Detail)

Flowergirl Dress –  Dunnes Stores. (The girls doing my dress put the band from the Maid of Honour dress onto the flower girls dress to add colour)

Maid of  Honour’s Necklace was her gift from Niall & I. (Kept that vintage looking also, Paul Costello silver bought at Ryan Thomas Jewellers, Clonmel.

Groom & Best Man – Black Pinstripe Suits,

Dads & Pageboy all Black Tie Tux’s.

All male wedding party wore socks on the day groom, best man, page boy, father of the groom & father of the bride. (Amazon)

A lot of Pamela & Niall’s guests noted the thoughtfullness of the baskets in the Bathrooms (Can be gotten in Heatons/Dunnes, Filled bottom with newpaper & Covered with Black crepe paper) Filled with Antiperspirant, Perfume Samples, Lint Roller, Sewing Kit, Plasters, Sanitary Towels, Tampons, Anti Bacterial Gel, Dental Floss, Hair Pins, Hair Elastics, Hair Brush. Mens had Hair Gel, Shoe Polish, Comb, Lint Roller, Dental Floss, Antiperspirant, Aftershave Samples.

Hotel Kilkenny were asked to put as many tee lighting candles in bathrooms and on tables and to have fires lit to create atmosphere, to also have music playing in the back round during drinks reception as well as the meal.
